Experimental work that inspired the creation of MIZUTAMARI. This work creates light in conjunction with the shadows of ripples of water projected on the ground. The continuous movement and morphological change of water has an effect on the human psyche through the sensory organs of sight and hearing. I aimed to create a sculptural work that can shake new psychological sensations by blending into the environment and incorporating changes over time as a formative element, transforming and combining large and small, continuous and fragmented, gaseous, liquid and solid forms. In the ‘ripples’, one of the changes in the form of water, there are movements such as ‘flowing’ and ‘spreading’. There are visual effects such as ‘continuity’, ‘stillness’ and ‘infinity’. This project attempted to explore perceptual possibilities that we do not yet know by adding the element of light to the visual effects of these ripples.
